In my case, my site is based on something I'm passionate about and so I'm not too concerned with Goggle ranking. It's great to have some exposure, but "man cannot rely on google alone."
heh, kinda like that quote...but I digress. If you are trying to make money on your site, Google-bot yourself crazy, If it is more of a close to heart, hobbyist site focus on humans. Either way the google bots will find some useful information in your Human flavor text.

Write without thinking about Googlebot. Then revise and make it ready for Googlebot with sprinkling of keywords here and there still keeping it consumable by human visitors. This kind of writing is a rare skill and takes time to develop.
