Football Logo

Hi all,

We are a new football team and would be grateful if anybody could design our new logo.

The reason for our team name North Park United was thought up after we decided to try and intergrate two communities from the North of our City, hence the (North) that are devided, hence the (United) and the park, well we both have parks situated in our area's.

We were thinking of maybe a tree, but if you look closely enough they are actually a pair of hands meaning unity, kind of entwined to look like a tree, with a football some how in this logo.

This maybe is a bit complex, which I understand. An being no artist, I can only put our childrens idea forward. I would be grateful if anybody could help us out with this or even come up with a design that you feel represents out team name.

Sounds like a great idea you've come up with there.
Have you thought about starting a contest for the children involved to create that type of logo mentioned?
If you can come up with the graphic, even a pencil sketch, perhaps we could refine it for you and turn it into the finished product.

Well we did try and all have a go at brainstorming which is where we came up with the idea of the tree/hands and ball, but after we all had a go at trying to draw it, we all thought it was a bit too complex and hard to make out what we were trying to do, so iffff... you are any good then please feel free!

I don't class myself as an artist, far from it! LOL But I can manipulate images and (most times) end up with something usable.
I dunno if I'm way off track here going by how you've explained what design you're after.
Something like the pic below? And if so, would the ball go, in the hands? Maybe you could print out a few copies and play around with some ideas.
By the way, excuse my non-existent sporting knowledge but is that a round soccer ball or an oval type ball?

I think the oval shaped one is called "American football" to those Europeans.

No it is called football and it is a round one, not oval. The drawring is brilliant, so if you can put the football in there somewhere then that would be fab! Thanks xx An any more ideas from the info I have given you would be great! xx

Here's just a rough copy of what it could end up looking like.
Different shield shape, change colours, simple NPU initials or no text at all. It's a start at least!

Yes, that is excellent ! Well done you ! I know I maybe being a pain in the butt, but would you aslo see if you could come up with a design yourself maybe better than what we thought of, I trust your talents. xx I would just love the girls and boys to see our idea created but also any others and give it a kind of vote off, it just gives the children another bit of fun out of their love for football/soccer! xx

To be honest, I haven't really got any of my own ideas for logos.
As I mentioned in a previous post, give me a graphic, colour choice and a rough idea of how it supposed to look and I'll manipulate these in PS 'til it looks like a passable logo.
Perhaps the moderators can leave your request open for a bit longer and see if one of our other members can come up with something to suit.
