Our website is mainly used to keep people informed on what the band is up to. We post our show info, merchandise stuff, anything related to the band.

3) List 3 logo designs you really like & why:

Attached some below... A little more than three lol but I figured that might help in the long run. I also broke it down by logo and gave an explination why I like it.

NIN - Compact, people recognize this logo/symbol anywhere no matter what it's on. The main reason I like this logo is the simplicity and compact design.

Ozzy - I really like this logo because it has everything in a neat little design. It's clean cut, yet has that grunge edge to it. It also seems like the lettering is inside of a little patch/emblem which by itself could be something easily recognizable by a fan perhaps.

Dethklok - Now this design I really do love. The intwine of the tribal designs with the lettering really ties together well. I like the spiky/tribal look but not in a overpowering way. It adds more to the overall look rather than coming out all mixed up and illegible.

Slipknot - Okay... The image I linked to has it all. It has a symbol that could be used stand alone in the background (the pentagram) and then it has the band name tied in nicely. I REALLY REALLY like the color scheme and the decrepit, grunge looking texture used on everything.

Broken Oath - I really like the compact design and the flow of the lettering. An overall symbol as well as the band name is completely tied in to the design. Really like this concept.



4) Requested size of your logo:

I'm not 100% sure of the size. I know I will need something large enough to use for a header on a website. I will also need something of good quality in order to put on t-shirts, hats, and whatever other merchandise I might have in the near future. I would really like a vector of the logo if at all possible since that's loss less pretty much as far as quality is concerned however I do realize that sometimes not all of the design options are available when it comes to vector. Also... the background needs to be transparent or able to be turned transparent.

5) Do you have any images/photos/clipart that can be used for the logo?

Unfortunately no...

6) Any colors you prefer?

Hm,.. I prefer darker colors and I like the decrepit sort of look. If there were any color it should be rusty, reds (blood), anything that might fall into a rusty like color to give it that sort of effect. A color as well as a black and white copy would be most valuable if anyone wanted to do that... The colors of the included slipknot logo are spot on for what I would like. I would also like (if possible) just a black and white rendering as well.

The name of the band is Massacre Machine. Our style of music is of the Metal genre and is geared toward rising against those that hold you down. We have a pretty strong following and are looking to expand our fan base.... We're about to put out a demo and need something to represent our bands essence. We have a hardcore attitude, short tempers, powerful riffs and lyrics and take shit off of no one. Some suggestions in the past have been to use the M's from both words rather than the entire band name. Perhaps that could be possible but we don't want people to think Marilyn Manson... lol. Someone once suggested the M's be backwards looking, maybe tribal-ish or machine-ish wrapped in barbed-wire. Someone also suggested some sort of Machine type thing for the symbol... I'm not entirely sure what could embodied the name Massacre Machine lol. A while back someone tried something out for us in the form of a decrepit puppet that was torn apart in several pieces to reveal a machine/android type thing underneath the puppet skin. It was cool looking but in the end kinda looked a little too "baby-ish" and didn't really fit the harder look we were wanting. If I had to choose between two of the band logos I uploaded for ideas it would be the Ozzy one and the Slipknot one. I would REALLY like to have something that we could use for just a symbol as well, without the band's full name... (ie: slipknots "S")

Talked to a couple friends of mine to try and gather some more ideas... Someone suggested perhaps a war machine type thing. I searched around and found this...



Had the thought that perhaps something like this but a bit more... Menacing lol. A skull and cross bones or flaming skull instead of a star? Hrm.. Maybe some saw blades coming out on mechanical arms? Lol something that would make you melt from terror if you saw it lumbering toward you in the darkness.

Okay so... I spoke to a couple other people and someone said that my description might have been -too- descriptive. I'm not quite sure how that's a bad thing but I'm going to just say... I'm open to other ideas besides the ones I have put out there. If you have -anything- that you think might look good by all means share.. If I can do something for you in return I will. I can do logo's, fliers, websites.. Lots of other stuff too!

Hey man, started on the symbol first, here's what i have so far. let me know what you like/don't like ect.I start off drawing designs out rough then bring them into photoshop. love doing this shit man so be fucking blunt, if you hate it let me know and ill work to what you want, I wont be offended. Will work on the logo(Massacre Machine) once i have a symbol done. I know it's abit rough looking, but ill clean it up if you like the design.
