Soccer logo/crest

Hello,
I coach U10 traveling team in long Island NY and was wondering if anyone can help me comeup/create a logo for my boys. So far we dont have anything to use and thats why i am concentrating on creating one but i kind of gave up and then i came up on your site. If its possible can some one help ?

2) Description of your website:
Gives parents direction to the fields. Keeping track of the kids record, training grounds, drills and games and some videos links of pros in action. All for the kids.

3) List 3 logo designs you really like & why:

4) Requested size of your logo:
Not sure what size but I know what I am planning to use it for. ON ei will like to use it for the site I posted above and then I would like to also print it for the kids jersey. I guess various resolutions.


5) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)
the only thing I have is posted on the site and its not that pretty. The edges are not clean etc. Any help is greatly appreciated.

6) Any colors you prefer?
The team colors are Red Black and White around the edges. What I was also thinkingwas to put a viking on it but I can just don’t know what to do. I wanted the background transparent and I just gave up after that. And then I found our site J and here I am.

Thanks for the fast reply it is greatly appreciated. Not really sure what text to be shown. I tried different text but i can never decide which one to use. Thank god i am not like that when it comes to coaching. I tried Old English text MT, Algerian and Rosewood but i could not decide. Since the name of the team is vikings I was trying to get something in old english writing but be able to understand Little Neck Douglaston Vikings.
I kind of like the text for the Minnesota Vikings site. The Official Site of the Minnesota Vikings

But i am not going to be picky anything that you think looks good is fine.

Not really sure what text to be shown.

What I meant was, what writing / words do you want on the crest, not font type.
Old English does have its place but not good on a crest. Let me know your wording and I'll get started on it tomorrow.

Little Neck Douglaston - is the league
Vikings - is the team
Soccer Club or S.C. -If you can get that in there also.
Would be nice if i can get all in there

I found this great looking viking helmet image on creative commons. Do you want to use it in your crest?

That crest looks great and exact colors the team wears. Yup I would not mind using it if its possible.

I've used the basic design of your original crest (which, by the way, was very well done!) and added some extras.
As you can see by the below example, it will sit okay over both red or black shirt backgrounds.

WOW that looks awesome I really like what you did. And the lettering used for the Vikings is incredible. I really like it.
Is there any way you can email me the original file. The Tiff/PSD version with the higher resolution and the layers?
