Football Club Mascot

Hi all,

I am involved with a football club, Colchester Villa Youth Football Club.

We would like to use a type of club mascot to use on our website, promotional material, leaflets, posters etc etc.

We provide football for boys and girls from 6 years old up to 18 year olds, but the mascot is to be mainly aimed at the 6 to 12 year olds.

Rather then the usual mascot, i would actually like two mascots, a cartoon boy and cartoon girl football player. Actual human people not animals.

Would like the boy mascot to have cool spiky brown hair with a big grin on his face wearing our club kit which is royal blue and black stripes shirt with black shorts and black socks...


Its the Nike Inter Stripe Royal Blue and Black Shirt

The girl mascot i would like to have blonde hair tied in a ponytail with a smile on her face, wearing our club kit but with royal blue socks.

The cartoon style i'm after is something similar to a weemee http://www.weeworld.com/ but more human like, rather then what they're like with their feet together etc.


Would be nice to have each mascot in 2 or 3 different styles, for example one could be with them standing "facing the camera" with their foot on a football, another could be them kicking a football from more of a side on view and another different style.


I would like to eventually be able to use them on different backgrounds, for example a football pitch, changing room, etc etc but would also use them as they are.


I would be really grateful if someone would be able to do this for the club.

This might be a tough one. I'm not the cartoon drawing type so I'll have to look around for some creative commons (free to use) clip art that I can modify to suit.

Any other members here that also feel like tackling this one, be my guest!

hi, they look great!

A few changes, is it possible to make the blue a bit lighter, like a more royal blue then a dark blue. similar colour to the blue on the ball, a bit lighter maybe.

also, i'm assuming you have done these as a much bigger image which is what i would like so i can resize it for various stuff. I was hoping if i gave you an image of our club badge you could maybe put it on the shirt, on the left breast?

Thanks CovertPea, I draw it myself using Illustrator 10 but the stroke isnt mine actually. I used the sample(the weewee if Im not mistaken) Arron gave, and modified it a little bit so it shown some sort of my stroke. As the styles/posed, I use a reference from a photo I get in internet.

Thanks Arron, gonna make some editing to it and plus a new posed.

This have been done using Illustrator thus its a vector based so it will look ok when resized.

I had use Nike ball but if you Clubs using another brand, let me know perhaps I can change

the footballs look great mate, we use mitre balls but they're fine as they are. once you've done the edits and the different poses i will show them to the club and should be able to get some money for ya.
