dear friends
I've been using template n. 3 (Memorial web template) and changed the photo and the header with my own stuff (identical names, formats, places etc.) When I run the template locally in my browser everything is okay, but if I upload the stuff the new header and photo are not there. If I replace the original ones, everything works again just fine. Does anybody know what's happening here? Thanks for your insights. Ben Last edited by biar; 11-02-2009 at 06:56 PM. |

Things to check -
1. Does your directory structure on the PC and server match? If you have your files in a directory named "images" on the pc,2. When you uploaded the files with your FTP program, did you upload in the "binary" format? Most FTP programs have the option to set your upload to auto. What this usually does is compare the file type you're transferring against a list of known file types and set it to binary or ascii upload on its own.3. Upload the files again. Sometimes data packets get lost or are garbled.4. Clear your Browser "cache" Reload your page.

Thanks for your advice Ishkey,
I already found out what happened: When I uploaded the files the FTP program changed the suffix of the images (.jpg) to CAPITAL (.JPG). Changing that on the spot did the trick ![]() Ben |
