Help with template 'architecture2' please

In customizing this template - Architecture 2 Preview Page I would like to try to remove the images in the Welcome and Company sections and have only text within this area. If I try to do this - my footer is moved off to the left of the page.....Please excuse my question as I am extremely elementary and just beginning with web design and this may be a simple adjustment, however I can not get it right.....any advice would be appreciated.

The Welcome part is easy just open the index file and remove the image code. Save the file. In the code below, the image code is commented out which you can try with your file to see how it with display. You can use the comment <!-- some code --> on different parts of code, rather than deleting the code to see what happens, it makes for a powerful tool this way.

In the Company section you did not say if you wanted it in 2 sections or one. This section and the graphics are heavily tied to the style.css file.

I have never used a template before. Can you please tell me how to load it into my page? Can you please tell me what it is supposed to look like when I upload it? When I upload the Architecture template, it just shows a brown background and nothing else.

Try to use some Sitebuilder tool. Free one, Hipero.com - build your website for free there, and if I remember well - you can use exactly the same template there!
