i created a blank space in the left colum

i,m using the slave to the game template,and for a neewbe i,m doing good..all my links check out ect..but i do have a problem...in the left column is a section entitled newest matches...which i changed to our sponsors,and placed small html banners in their place..instead of just words...which was great!but it expanded the size of that column..still good on that side,but now the middle section is fine {i made bigger paragraphs}but the right side colum , now is about 4 inches above the bottom of the page leaving an empty white space that i need to fill and dont know how..this probably has something to do with the css portion,but so far i,ve only had to edit images there so any advice would be very welcome,i thank you in advance.
