Question new page doesnt use css

Hi all,

I registered as I cant resolve my problem on my own.

I read all your primers, saw tutorials on w3 and related and still ?!?!?! cannot fix my desired template as I want it to be!

I choose real estate template 23. I can change this index page I downloaded, and this is all fine, new pics, text, links etc all works fine

BUT when I copy the code in attempt to make new web page i.e. manu page like contact us.html somehow it does not connect to css the index uses fine..do you follow me? I dont know if it sounds clear. I get all my stuff in one row w/out background etc. no desing at all?!?! only pics and text So, how do you link it to css??

Im no programmer obviously and I started thinking I definitely choose my profession right!? And I DID wrote href to style.css in head section! Please help, Im going mad googling and trying and always the same result!

What profession is that?

Did you change the code in the about.html menu so it is pointing to the proper page? You have to tell the browser where to look.

When you saved your "contact.html" file did you place it in the same directory as the "index.html file?

Is the "file name you saved" the same as the "file name name in the menu"?

Ishkey,
a million tnx to you and your professionalism regarding this forum.

My mistake was that the file name in the menu wasn't the same! I didn't know this was necessary! Everything works great now and I'm still learning code, as I have problems re-thinking other pages! It's easy to customize index, I think the real problem lies in the need to develop ideas and than knowing how to implement them - html coding my biggest chalange so far..

Im english/russian to serbian translator And I want to start up my own business, real estate one, and in the lack of means I desided to learn how to code html myself, and in the process I was amazed how fun it is and how it opens a whole new world.

Now there is no web page I like that I dont check its code etc. I really enjoy in the whole process of learning. Also, all your tutorials, and w3 schoools helped me a lot!

So thank you for being there for us!!! I really hoped you would answer me!
When I upload my site I'll post it here so you can see what I learnt and in the meanwhile maybe I turn to you gurus if I get stuck again

Greetings from mediterranean

Mila
