HTML ? about the Architecture Template

I decided to use the Architecture template for a family website I'm making. I was wondering if it's possible to make a photo gallery that works with the "Latest Projects" image display on that template (how it has the arrows on either side of the photos... one that could possible scroll through images). If so, how might I do that? I only know bits and peices of html and CSS and other than that, I'm not well versed with this sort of thing so call me clueless. Any advice on how to do that or get started would be wonderful. Thanks!
