    Hi,
I am making a website for my friend and am using the "Beauty Salon" template. This is my first template based website as I usually just create with tables in Dreamweaver and what I see is what I get.

What I did do was change the text in Dreamweaver and named the pages and uploaded them and they work. Now how do I go about adding in my own images for the pages? Do I do this in Photoshop or in Dreamweaver?

Is there anyone with some time and a phone line that would not mind walking me through some of this so I can go off on my own and become a template based website-aholic? I can call you!

If there is something I should post to help you, help me, please let me know.

    Thanks!

photoshop is fine, get your image that you wanna use, and in the images folder find the name of the image you wanna replace, and take your image and save it as that other image. it will replace and change.

or if you just wanna add mroe images.

    Hi,

But the image in the Beauty Salon images folder, the "main one" on the left, has some extra little shapes attached to it and when I replace it, then those shapes go with it. Do I have to design these extras manually?

If the shape you speak of are infact part of the main image then yes.

if your just wanting to add images to the websites pages just make them in photoshop or whatever program you want and them add them in using Dreamweaver/Frontpage.

Click the image button to insert images.

I downloaded the Beauty Salon template and modified to my preference. I replaced images except for one and uploaded to my site. The only image to display online is the one that I didn't change. I made the image height/width settings different than some of the images so it would fit the template. What is strange is that I used Coffeecup HTML Editor and it displays in the editor and tests fine in the browser. Any ideas? You can view it here: http://www.rustyspur.biz

And by the way, the search doesn't work so I don't know what needs to be changed or added so it will.
    Thanks,
    Mike

Actually figured it out. I had some jpeg files named .JPG and referenced them as .jpg. I changed the name to .jpg and it worked.

    Crazy.
