please give me your honest opinions, thanks I have recently added a marquee part and an aff shop. TOTALDANCEMUSIC | Home
Article "Ministry of Sound" You may want to increase the contrast Light gray and black background sometimes is hard to read - You may want to summarize the paragraphs with a heading describing the content of the paragraph - makes easier reading - In my humble opinion, the graphic is about twice as large as need be The emphasis should be on the information, not the symbol - hope this helps falcon
Hi, thanks for your feedback. The reason the image is so large is becuase it is 'featured content' and when your on the homepage you will see '<' and '>' to scroll through the latest 3 bits of featured content. Thanks for mentioning the font colour to the bg, i will look into this and try various substitues for the current colour.
First of all, fantastic website. It somehow really fits the theme "Dance". I miss a little bit of colour, but that's also because the "save our club image" shows up first. The other pictures bring more color, allthough I would suggest to put really bright pictures there (large pixel .jpg). Bright pictures really help a lot in visualization. Anyway, two other things: - I think you have too many buttons, all on the top of your page. 17!! See if you can't group a few, spread them more over the homepage, and turn some of them into links. - The links in your "ads by Google" are an ugly shade of blue. Don't know if you can change that or that Google delivered it to you. Hope it helps and all the best, Bram
Thanks for your feedback ill play around over the next few days, please check out a review or an event to see what you think of the tab system etc.

my point of view that dancing websites need to inspire the feeling of dancing to the visitor. so, you can declare it more with the design, colors & animated gifs.
Hi! Its very nice work.By adding few changes you can make it more interesting. As this is a dancing website it must include some pictures, information, news etc related to dance. ------------------------------------------------------
It looks good overall but I think it's missing some direction in terms of identifying what the site is about. The top image slideshow doesn't really tell me anything about the site so I think it'd be best to either reduce the size or have the images be a little more informative instead of just being images. Also, you might be able to REALLY improve the site if you were to change the background to something that increases the contrast. Perhaps a lighter color or even some type of image fade. And one last thing, I'd get rid of that marquee. It's more of an annoyance considering how slow it scrolls and just distracts from the rest of the site.
The images on the manual slideshow are 'featured content' and changes when a new album, piece of major news etc is released.
Something you may want to consider The way your title and description is displayed in Google <title>TOTALDANCEMUSIC | The Home of UK Dance News, Reviews, Tours Dates & More!</title> - Google display # TOTALDANCEMUSIC | The Home of UK Dance News, Reviews, Tours Dates ... <meta name="Description" content="TOTALDANCEMUSIC brings you all the Dance News, Reviews, Tour Dates and more"> Google description Feb 3, 2010 ... Is this what you want displayed ??? - Yourdescription displays 91 characters (including spaces) Normally it displays 150 characters (including spaces) You may want to add some more information (using keywords) Keywords are the words visitors use to find your site use them effectively (example: on my site for math, I changed the word figures to shapes because the keyword suggestion tool showed shapes had a higher popularity) shapes and figures have about the same meaning in geometry. Sometimes this may mean a lot. - hope this helps falcon
The color scheme is really dull. And frankly speaking, there is nothing impressive and attractive. You should add high quality graphics to your website at least. Good luck!
I like the dark color scheme myself but also agree with linx about add higher quality pics.. Nice job anyway..
I think the site is very well laid out, the 'about' section is easily displayed and the colour scheme works well I think.
I really enjoyed your website it was a very fun site to see as soon as i saw it BAM! i was all of the sudden interested in the professionalism of the site and i was interested with all of the content but one thing i would recommend changing is the 3 album covers on the main page because they are blurry and hard to see other then that good job! A+
Thanks for your input Alert. I am working on getting better graphics for the site but at the moment we can only use the images available from various sources such as the record labels and online shops with the artwork of albums etc. If theres anything anyone else can think of, we would like some input to improve the site for our users, (Mainly UK). Cheers.
