If you can please help me with this project.. I want to make a logo with the letters FX , i need it to be something like this : But i still don't know if i can get the stripes diagonally along the most left and down leg of the X letter! I don't know how to make this and i sure would need some help out here! Thanks in advance!
I played around a few times with this. First I tried 'styles' overlays by creating a pattern then I tried a striped gradient but neither gave a good, clear result. I'm sure there's a dead easy way of getting that effect but I ended up by using a simple multi-selection and clear. **Type needs to be 'rasterised' first and on its own layer. this would be a lot simpler in vector editors like Adobe Illustrator. use the font tool to write the letters FX; create outlines; make boxes as CP has done in the example above and 'divide objects below'; delete the parts you dont need; group the objects together. for diagonal lines you would simply need to rotate the box before you slice the objects below with it. look at this animation to get what i mean:
