Legacy Football Club Logo/Crest request

Hi Guys

I was wondering if someone could design a new crest for our football team?

Our team is called Poplar FC and we were established in 1988. If these could be incorporated on the design that would be great but everything else such as design/shape/colours I dont really have any preferences on.

I would like to be able to upload it to a website but mainly be able to pass the design to a printer to print onto kit.

We play in grey/silver and the training kit is red and black and it is likely it will be printed onto both kits.

4) Have you found any logos/designs on the web that you feel convey
the style you are looking for?

Here are a couple of designs that I quite like. The simpler the better really as long as it has the text in them

As stated I like the simplicity of both of these although perhaps not the colours or the pictures.

Perhaps a picture of a poplar tree and a football would suffice or just a football. I particularly like the 3rd badge in the second link that looks a little like the Man United badge with the two small balls in between the scrolls. Perhaps something like this but with POPLAR FC or Poplar Football Club and Est. 1988 on it?


5) Requested size of your logo:

This will be used for both kit printing and to upload to a website although primarily for kit printing so both hi and low res needed.


6) Do you have any images/photos that can be used for the logo? (must be copyright free)

A standard sort of football picture and I have attached a picture of a poplar tree in black and white that could be used

7) What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?

As stated the simpler the better. Perhaps a shield with the writing top and bottome or the circular scroll type of thing with the appropriate wording

8) What colors do you want to see in your logo?

Flexible on colours but I quite like the idea of red/black/white but again am quite flexible if these do not suit the design.

We play in silver white and also red

9) What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?

As above

10) Describe the target audience for your logo

Adult amateur football team.

11) What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

That we are a friendly,well-run and successful club

12) Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?

On shirts for printing and to upload to a website.

13) Do you have other info or links you want to share?

N/A

14) Finally we need is there a style font you prefer, please let us know.
For font types you can look here daFont or one of the many Font Websites available.

On the defont website within old school fonts there is one called New Athletic which looks quite good. But just a failry standard basic Arial type font would be fine.

I've had a look around but not really sure where to look for stuff that I can help with as I have no clue about designing. CP mentioned about website review requests but could not locate anything like this.

Thanks for that have just completed a review and will have a look at a few more. I cant offer any technical expertise as have no idea about web design etc but from a consumer point of view I hope my reviews will help.

Sorry for the delay in replying been away and didnt get an email notification of your post for some reason.

Love the design, absolutely spot on and what I was after. Not sure if you have an image of the tree now but could the colour of the tree be changed to black as opposed to white?

If it's not too much trouble could you try changing the colour of the tree and I will trust your judgement and look forward to whatever you think is best.

Like the black tree with the white outline out of these two above. Could you also mock up a badge using the tree that "ishkey" posted above?
