Legacy Jazz it up

Can you help me Jazz up our logo? I like it a lot. it works well for letter head and such but it looks kind of plain as a web graphic. I want to make it the main banner of the site. any suggestions you have to help spruce it up would be greatly appreciated!

I do like the logo, but I think it's a little boring as a banner. If you don't mind, I would like to see what you come up with
