Hi, Just wondering if anyone could help me customise a joomla template for use with a soccer club website. I like the Chelsea Football Club - Official Site for News, Tickets & Fixtures website. Not looking to copy it but just have a similar layout with the header and footer. Also like the gradient background. Our club colours are red and black so would like to incorporate that. I also run a soccer club website using Joomla and have googled everywhere to try and find some Joomla 1.5 Soccer templates. It seems that there are'nt many around at all. Heres a few that might help you if you're still looking.... These two templates both run on Joomla 1.0 Free Joomla 1.0.x Templates: Football Dreams by ThemZa Free Joomla 1.0.x Templates: Football League by ThemZa We use this template on our childrens soccer website :- Free Joomla 1.5.x Templates: Football Arena by ThemZa The template works on Joomla 1.5 only. Ideally I'd like the football dreams template to work on Joomla 1.5 so I could use it on our website ! Hope this helps Steve
How much are you looking to spend, if anything at all ChanelSSC? I use the joomla platform myself and there are some really good generic templates for free but if you can spend a little max $100, you can get a good template and then customise it. I also have a football website (www.thewomensgame.com). I have bought for AUS$30 the main template off GavickPro and then customised it with a football stadium background, cut up some female footballers and layered them in photoshop. That makes it more personal. To make it look flash, you can use some components and modules from the Joomla website and heaps of them are for free. Also, had a quick look at the Chelsea website and that look is quite easy and inexpensive to achieve. Just depends on how much maintenance you want to be doing on the site!
