Web Design Ok Help here.

Ok, I don't know where to find the information I need so I thought I would ask here.
Anyway I have a site host. dkpsystem.com. I hate there template and love your W.O.W template and would love to use it. But here is where I am confused. The site with its advanced layout option which is what I have to use to upload files and templates for the site. They want me to use <!--Systemnline --> tags instead of herf tags to place the right direction to there already set options. Like that one will display similarly to the "login" command. This will display a list of all users of the website in the last 10 minutes.
How do I add these to the templates without screwing it up. I can't seem to get them to work. Frustrating me to hell and back. Like the Login aka account as I would like to use it is <!-- System:Login --> But I would like this to go where you have <li><a href="http://site.com">Account</a></li> and I tried to place it in the "tag" but it screwed up the placement. so I am guessing I need to add <br> to it?
If I can get this one problem figured out I think I can get the rest. Besides linking the template to all pages. Not sure how that will look. But anyway here is my site as it stands now and you can see why I need HELP!
