Hello, I am just signing up to this as I was reading the forums earlier, and I seen where some people has recieved amazing help with photography logos, so I signed up and I figured I would give it a try. I am a young person starting my own little photography business. Right now, I am pretty much doing everything home based, until I can get all the aspects of photography learned and understood. I am centering my photography around family oriented types of pictures, a few baby photos here or there, senior pictures, and things of that matter. I do occasionally venture out to a few landscape office type portraits. I need some help with graphic logo design. I would like someone to tell me how to go about finding out how to create my logo to include on my portraits. I would like for this logo to be able to be used on any picture that I take and edit. I would like the logo to be able to be in the bottom right corner of a photo, but not take up too much space. know I want it to say Brian Norman Photography, or at least Brian Norman. I would like to use the a image of a camera as part of my logo, but at the same time I do like the big script letters some people tend to use in photography logos. I think I would only want to use the camera in my logo if I use the word photography. My theme or tag is "transforming life events into precious memories" I could settle for something a little more smaller like "life events to precious memories" I know I want at least those words included. As far as colors go, I would prefer something plain like black or white. I like earth tones colors. I love Brown/Cream/ I even like burgundy. I am a man so I don't care about all the polka dots,and stuff like that. I would like something more modern and simple, not to big. In other words " manly" LOLOL. Is there anyone out there who can help me with logo design. Either showing me some samples or telling me where to start ? Can I do them in Photoshop? I would love to see a sample with a camera in the logo and a example with script writing. I guess I like pretty writing because most men actually don't have pretty handwriting. Is there anyone out there who can help me with this???? Another idea I had was to have the camera as my logo and inside the lens have Brian Norman Photography, and my theme under it? Just a idea. Is there anyone out there that can get started or show me some examples? Script letters. Colors I like are Burgandy, Brown, Cream, Grey, Blue, Dark Blue, Greens, Earthtones. need something that will show up on dark backgrounds ( Light logo) Need something that will show up on light backgrounds as well ( Dark Logo) Don't mind if you have something better in mind, because I appreciate anything you do to help me because you didn't have to take this much time out to be reading this. Think of this: If you paid someone to take portraits of you, and you seen their logo design on the front of the picture , What would you look at and go " Now that's a nice logo". I want them to look at the logo, and remember it was Brian Norman Photography who took the picture.
I really am open to anything anyone presents to me, those are just my suggestions, I would like to thank anyone in advance who takes the time to help me. I really appreciate it because you don't have to take time out to assist little ole me.
Hey there, I am gonna give this a shot, just gonna produce some really quick 'sketches' and see how it goes, but you're probably best waiting for CP or GG to take this one. Update: Ok so I've done a few sketches, I'll continue working on some and get back to you when they're ready.
Okay.... Thanks for giving it a shot. I can't wait to see some of the designs. I want to see anything you might advise me to use as well. You guys are awesome designers, and know what may work best rather than what we think is best. Keep up the awesome designs, and remember I am open to anything.

These are just quick throw together of some ideas. Recidivist, Very very nice. I am liking what I am seeing so far. Okay. Out of your selection I really like 1,2 and 6. Would like to see some burgandy, or some dark blue, maybe even some dark grey, bu I like the cream colors. I do appreciate you for your quick response. I would consider using the designs you have provided. If you change the colors keep in mind of something that will show up on dark background photos, and something that shows up on lighter background photos. That is why I love 1 and 2 because one has the background i can use on pictures with a white background or black background. Do you think it would be possible to arch my name of the top of the camera, having the camera in the middle and photography right under the camera? Just a thought. I do appreciate your suggestion. How do i get these to my desktop to use on my photos is my next question after I find the ones I really like?

Glad you liked them, I'll work on them somemore soon. As for getting adding them to your photo's afterwards I'll upload a zip containing pngs and psds so you can add them to photos and do any editing you want. Also, that is an unfortunate arrangement of letters you have there. BNP ^_^
Ok, I have worked on 1 & 2, updated it, alligned + dimensions properly done, played around iwth it a little. Done various colours for light and dark, what are your thoughts? (Attached in a zip as there are a few different versions) Or you can grab it here <--- I will continue to work on 1, 2 and will start to work on 6 soon.
Lolololol I know "bnp" arnt the best letters but guess I gotta make them work. I like number three the more I look at it too. Still want to see everyone else ideas too. Recidivist has some good logo design skills I must admit.
lol yeah BNP wasn't exactly the right name to go for but what can ya do eh lol i've givent it a go not too late am I? I gotta say you did give a very good description and his designs are quite good too I gave it a go though..I've been working on it for a while and just finished it but it's meant to be a camera lens and obviously it has your name 'engraved' onto it. Not so sure about the colours because of the ones you stated but to make it look like a lens I had to create it at this colour but here it is Let me know what you think

just right click on it and click on 'Save Picture As' because that's the original size anyway so it won't matter but I don't think you'll be getting too many designs because we do have other requests to do as well but in the meantime whilst your waiting try and help out in the forum incase there's someone else who needs your help Thanks
First let me start by saying thanks a million to these wonderful gifted people who has taken time out of their busy day to help little ole me. These are very talented people who are showcasing some of their design skills at no charge and if anyone has never said it then I am saying it now Thank You and we all appreciate your help because you don't have to help us but you do. No logo is too late, and I am living the ones you guys are sending me. Keep um coming if you are busy with others I completely understand. Hey... If can anyone just script my name with no images just wondering??? Now I have to figure out how to get the logo's on my photos using photoshop..... That's the fun part.. Been searching.... Is there anyway someone can create a logo that has a transparent background that way it can be applied to any color background and it will look as if it is part of the image
You're talking about a watermark. There's a heap of ps tuts online for making watermarks from images. That will be the next step once you get the 'logo' you're happy with. Cheers CP EDIT: Almost forgot, here's a plain and simple logo I came up with yesterday. I took the colours off your site.
