Web Design Please help make columnwider

    I downloaded the following template and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for it:

    I would like to widen the first colum (i.e. the blue navigation bar with 4 lines on the top left) and make it about twice the width. This would then make the top banner more narrow.

    I have tried everything but have not managed to make this change.:(

    I would appreciate it if someone could help me.

    first:
    adjust #header width and left value.

    then:
    then adjust #    navblue width value.
