    Hi everyone,
I am sorry for possible offtopic, but I need your help in find new web hosting provider as soon as possible, because my current host (bluehost.com) is kicking me off, they say 'your account is using a lot server resources', but my website gets only about 200 visitors per day and my disk usage is 1500 MB (maybe they do not like that?)

Anyway, what would be your recommendations for getting reliable web hosting? Where are you hosting your websites? Are you happy with your providers?

I am now checking http://www.hosting24.com/ - offer looks very nice, but is it real that they can provide unlimited disk space?
I have contacted them about this question and they say something that "These days 500GB disk drive costs only $30 per month, so if some day we will run out of disk space we will simply add new 500GB disk drive with almost zero costs and you can continue uploading without any problems".

What do you think about it? Maybe things have changed in last 4 years? With my current provider I get only 2GB of disk space for $10 per month..
Any ideas and suggestions are much appreciated.

As far as I know Hostgator is a good choice. I know a lot of people who are satisfied with this hosting.

I can get you a really good deal with Dreamhost.
    If.
I can get you $50 ANY plan (or wave the setup fee for month-to month)

I can also add features to your account for free (up to $90 bucks worth of 'em).
    Like:
More disk space (don't really need, it grows weekly anyways)
More Bandwidth (don't need either, cause it also grows weekly)
Free domain names (for 1 year, each, or 1 domain name multiple years)
    Unique IP's (up to 2)

Let me know if you want any of this stuff!!

First, is this thread still valid? I see it was posted back in July. I'm sure you have a new host now.

But I thought I'd mention this anyway. What you said above is the perfect reason why people really should look at more features with hosting companies other than disk space and bandwidth.

That's what everyone wants and thinks they need.

    But it's not.

Yes, it's nice to have 500gigs of disk and lots of bandwidth, but unless you're storing huge amounts of photography and/or vids, you really don't need much over 5-10gigs.

Showing off huge disk space numbers is just another version of decoy marketing.

Your problem sounds like you're using a lot of CPU time (a.k.a a resource). If you run many scripts, like a blog, forum, image gallery, e-commerce, etc., these all take up CPU time.

When looking for a host, go with a company that meshes well with your needs. Do you need more personal help? Do you need huge amounts of disk space? Do you need an option where you can purchase more CPU time if needed (like my company provides).

    Just a thought . . .

I own hostedforcheap.com and I will help you get started if you wish. I can make you a custom hostingplan and a price that works for you.
