Hi ijmccoy, If you don't even know where to start it sounds like maybe you don't know anything about html or css and if that's the case you're either going to have to start learning about them or get someone else to do the job for you. If you do know some html/css then start by trying to change just one thing - even if your approach is trial and error - and then move on to the next thing. Geoff Tyrer
Good advice Geoff Tyrer and he'll need to learn Flash to some degree even if he has one of those templates which gives him a text page to edit for his info.
Cheers for the replies. I have some knowledge of html and css from using wordpress and have done some very basic stuff on flash years ago. (YouTube - Man gets run over by car) I've been going about it like Geoff has recommended changing one thing at a time and am not having too bad results but I'm unsure as to how things work. The site is Untitled There are no text templates to edit so i think it all has to be edited in the fla file. The problems I am getting at the moment are: Main Tab 1. Where it says featured releases when you hover over the cover it says 'view' but clicking this doesn't do anything. Nor do the 'listen' and 'order' buttons 2. News and events - how would I add another one? Releases Tab 1. having same problem as no 1 above Artists Tab 1. Clicking the 4 lines of writing do nothing. Same for artists review Other 1. How do i change the site from being called 'untitled' 2. I have uploaded the music1, 2 and 3 flash files but they are not playing in the top player Any help with this would be great Ian
And that's the problem. There is no exposed code other than the swf binary for others to help you. And even if you did attach the fla file people need to have a flash editor to be able to change things including you. IMO you only use flash for certain layout elements not for the entire website, along with alternative image placeholders. Check if the template includes alternative HTML files and use those instead.
