I have introduced myself. For those that don't read thread, I am a hairstylist in ATL.

I am new to this sort of thing. I am trying to develop an online presence for my clients so I downloaded the hairstylist template on page one. Now when I extracted the files this is what I got:

    1 folder with images
1 photshop image named hair salon
1 mozilla firefox document named index
1 cascading style sheet document called style

Now as you can see, I have dreamweaver and photoshop both of which I am still new at. This was my brothers pc before he died and he was a graphic artist so I just piddle around a little bit. I have a webhost that I am still trying to get used to.

What I would like to know is:

    1. What are the 4 files I stated above for and what do I do with them.
    2. How do I edit the pics to show my own
    3. How do I create other webpages w/o it looking exactly as the main page

Sorry to ask so many ?'s but like I said, this is new to me and my budget doesn't allow for a professional website at this time

    thanks

    Hi Contagious,

With Dreamweaver open up the index file just like you would a word document. The website should then be loaded into Dreamweaver with all the images and css attached.

To make a new page just save the index file under a new name such as "contact.html" and theres your new page :D

Thanks scooooty. So do you know how I go about changing the pics? I am still just fooling around with it but I haven't figured that part out yet.
