    Hello,

My mom often said that if she could only save one thing, it would be our family photos — though that's not as relevant today in the age of digital photography. Has your home ever caught fire?

If so, you probably went the safe route and saved yourself before your stuff. But if your house were burning and you could only save one thing, what would it be?

I actually faced this very same dilemma back in Oct. 2004 when bushfires burnt over a 1000 acres here and came as close as 30 feet from our back door.
Five neighbours totally lost their homes and belongings in our street, fortunately though, no one was injured.

What did I grab before being urged to evacuate?
Apart from a few clothes that were hanging on my clothesline I grabbed my Bible.
When I later told my sweet (athiest) Mother what I'd grabbed, she thought I was weird!
