Web Design what's a basic web template measurement?

    even tho i'm not good at making templates, i'm still trying

    what's a basic web measurement?
    how do you know how big to make it?

    You start off with a basic 800x600

    Then things change as you go along...
    Your page may come out as 760x400 and so on.

    There is no literal rules on that I think :D
