Designing a website template without your website is like decorating a house without a house. It's not impossible but it's hard and takes a lot of time, because we will have to imagine everything. We have to design a lot, we don't have much time to imagine everything. Having one page with some content on it is good enough. If you want your template to be designed fast it's better to have a content rich website.
Thats true about designing websites. I find many people want their site developped without any content, it's one of the most frustrating things for designers. BTW how long does it take for you to come up with a free template if the content is provided?
True, true, sometimes I daydream of the next template i want to work on before the first one has been created, then i cut someone off on the road. To funny..
sometimes everything comes out from a concept, like almost all brilliant ideas are etched out from a table napkin. same may go from a website. but in all i agree that a page of content is enough to get the artistic flow flowing like a river
