Hi there - we are renaming our youth football club once the current season ends and need a new club crest. I wondered whether you could help? The examples I've seen across this forum are fantastic.

The club's name will be BUSHEY AND OXHEY FOOTBALL CLUB and the club colours are likely to be light blue and white, similar to the Argentina colours.

We need a new club crest to be embroidered on club kit, training kit, displayed on our website and also on headed notepaper. Is this something you are able to help us out with?

The town crest for Oxhey is below (without the OVEG wording of course, just the picture of the Ox)

I'm guessing you'll be knocked over by the price charged for embroidering just those two town crests alone! There's an awful lot of detail there.

To save us both time I suggest you:
Have a think about that and also work out what the final team colours will be.

Hi there - many thanks for the reply. I take your point about the complexity; I hadn't thought about that.

We had a committee meeting this evening and decided on new club colours of sky blue and white. Our new strip for next season will be

With regards the badge design and taking your steer on keeping things simple, would it be possible to just have the Ox's head above incorporated in something like below?

Many thanks in anticipation of your help!

    Hi CovertPea

Is there anything else you need from me to complete this logo? Just conscious I didn't answer all the usual questions, but hopefully you've got enough of the info you need.

    That I do.
I've been trying to get at least 3 crests/logos completed each day so I can clear the back log.
Good news is, yours is in the next 3.

    Patience young Luke! :D

CovertPea, these are terrific. We really appreciated you taking time out to do these for us. I've sent them to our club committee to see which they prefer and will get back to you asap. Many thanks once again.

    Hi CovertPea

Had some feedback from our committee members and they've asked if you would be able to help out with some changes? I know you're doing this for free so don't want to push it too much..!

The Ox's head I asked you to include is actually part of our sponsors logo so they've asked if we can try and find a different image of an Ox to use instead. Also, they've asked whether we can include something in the badge to represent Bushey.

One of the committee members mocked up some examples that maybe you could use? I like these a lot

The bridge represents Bushey arches (local railway is big round here) and is used on one of the local school badges, and the Ox is just a random Ox image that we've found. Something similar would be great

Underneath Bushey & Oxhey, could you include Football Club too?

    The arches image is here

Many thanks for your help as always, it's hugely appreciated.

Have a look at these four.
(will add the 'football club' text once the crest style is sorted out)

Brilliant as always CovertPea. We have a committee meeting on Monday evening at which they'll decide which badge they want to proceed with. I'll let you know the outcome. Many thanks once again for all your help.

Hi CovertPea, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Right, a final decision from our committee!

If it's not too much trouble, they would like to go with a circle badge with the content inside the circle similar to what you've included in a couple of the shield type badges.

The circle should say Bushey and Oxhey Football Club in black writing, with the borders of the circle in burgundy if at all possible?

Then inside the circle, they'd like the bridge graphic on a sky blue background, diagonal line, then the black ox in the other section on a white background.

I've tried to mock the image up (rather crudely but you'll get the picture!). You might want to try a darker shade of burgundy than the one I've used.

Not sure whether the burgundy, white and black works, so maybe a burgundy outline around the black lettering might look better too?

Many thanks for all your help with this, it's hugely appreciated by all of us and in particular the boys at the club who will wear this new badge on their playing kit and training tops next season.

    They go together pretty well.
Not clear on the 'shade' of blue you want. Lighter, darker?
Also, I've repeated the blue in the leaves to even out the colours.

Hi CovertPea - that looks great. Can we go ahead with this one then please? I assume you're ok to provide a file that can be used for embroidering the badge on kit etc?

Many thanks for all your help with this, it's hugely appreciated.

    Great!
Here's the zip containing full sized and a smaller one of the crest.
    (both have transparent backgrounds)
Let me know when you have the file downloaded so I can remove it from the forum.

    Cheers mate,
    CP
