    Hello FWT Community!

I'm really not good with introductions, but I'll try my best.

    A (little) bit about myself:
I've always been highly interested in technology, and was fascinated by computers for as long as I can remember. My first own computer was a Compaq with 133MHz and ran Windows 95. I've been tinkering with everything I could get my hands on since then.
At some point I had so many different things running on my home computer that it got too much for the computer, the connection and my parents' patience, so I had to put them online instead. That's when I met the world of hosting and I slowly made my way from free web hosting over premium hosting and VPS to dedicated servers. I run 2 dedicated servers and 3 VPS for myself now but also take care of several company servers.

In the past years I've come across many different technologies and while I'm far from being an expert, I've learned enough to be able to help with many of them.

Currently I'm employed as head of IT, but still working on web projects with the main focus on creating customized websites powered by PHP and JavaScript. I've been using jQuery, Bootstrap and AngularJS a lot lately and I'm trying to learn Node.JS well enough to replace PHP sometime.

If I'm not working on a web project, I'm either tinkering with my Raspberry Pi, trying to make it do something cool (like unlocking the front door when it reads an RFID tag), or playing one of the many games that are collecting dust in my virtual library.

    How I found FWT:
About half a year ago, I was looking for a nice template I could use for a browsergame I wanted to create and eventually stumbled over an entry on this site called "Fantasy Game Web Template". It looked nice and apparently was for free, so I bookmarked the page. Today I was going through all the bookmarks for this project and noticed that this site is a bit more than "just another free template site". I haven't seen a community like this in a while, freely sharing knowledge and work that others would charge hundreds of dollars for, and since I just might use something from here myself, I decided to join in and try to help if I can.

    Programs I use:
Currently I use PHPStorm 8 for web projects (after Dreamweaver ran into too issues with previous projects that had large files), as well as several program from the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, Audition and Flash Professional). There are a lot of small helpful tools as well like Firebug for Firefox and Wireshark to debug website issues, PuTTY and Pageant, etc.
If anyone is interested, I could post a list with a summary in a separate thread

P.S.: You might have noticed that I am not very good at writing short posts, my apologies ;-)
