Hey everyone, my friend is currently looking to start a minor league women's soccer team in Milwaukee Wisconson and could use some help with logo ideas for the team. Currently there is no set name, but for marketing purposes they will use the name "Hometown Soccer Club" until sponsors and ownership votes on an official name when they begin play. He is looking for a design similar to Barcelona's but more smooth instead of pointy. A vertical stripe down the middle dividing it with royal blue on the left, and kelly green on the right. "Hometown" would be towards the top, and "Soccer Club" would be on the bottom. Is this enough info? Any help would be much appreciated, from the looks of things on this forum, you all have some great talent designing logos.:)

    Thanks!

I find it odd that so many people want a design similar to barcelona's crest.
To me, it's the most unattractive looking crest out of all the ones' I've seen around.

    oh well..

I'd prefer you wait til you get a name up before I put something together for you. That is, unless you're happy to alter the name later on yourself with photoshop.

Yea, I'm not a huge fan of it either, it does seem somewhat overused by a lot of teams. I guess people just like to go with something that works.

I would love it if you could give it a shot with "Hometown Soccer Club." This logo will simply be used for marketing until the ownership and sponsors vote on an official name. After they all figure out a name there will be a rebranding of sorts from the marketing logo to the actual team crest. Anything would be of great help. Thanks.

Hey CovertPea, I just got an update from my buddy who needs this crest. If you still plan on helping us out, everything would stay the same as I explained above, with one thing added. In the center of the crest, it would be great if you could design something based off of Milwaukee City Hall, specifically the clock tower. I have some photos below. Hopefully you can help us out, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

Sorry, I don't mean to be pushy or anything, but just wondering if anyone will be able help out. No rush or anything, just wondering if anyone has decided to give it a shot. If not I need to start investigating other options.
    Thanks

I've been playing around with a lot of different pics of your town hall and so far, they all look daggy. (Aussie term for crappy) :)
Basically for a football crest, pics/text would be made up of solid colours or solid coloured outlines. (this aids when further printing is needed or embroidery design on kits) Doing justice to the town hall pic would involve a lot of line work and maybe gradient work too.
The actual crest isn't the problem, it's the centre image choice that's holding up the process.
    Any further ideas?

Thank you so much for giving it a shot, and sorry to be responding two weeks late, I've been on vacation and away from the computer the whole time. Can I see what you have got for the crest without the tower in the middle? I know its basic, but it would be great to show my friend who is requesting this so he can see how things are progressing. Thank you so much!
